Louise M. Fagan, 88, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Monday, September 7, 2009 at her home surrounded by her beloved family.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 11, 2009 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Genesis Dialysis Unit or the Genesis Pulmonary Care Unit.
She was born June 22, 1921 in Davenport, the daughter of Walter & Mary (Kretsch) Warner. On September 28, 1940, she was united in marriage to Robert C. Fagan in Springfield, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1983.
In earlier years, Louise was employed as a sewing instructor for the Quad-Cities Singer Sewing Machine stores. In retirement, she & her husband managed the former Hawkeye Gas Station on State Street in Bettendorf.
Camping & boating along the Mississippi River were favorite activities of Robert & Louise.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Fay Mabis of Bettendorf, Sharon (Mike) Hass of Kingman, Arizona, and Kathy (Robert) Robertson of Bettendorf; her son, Richard (Teri) Fagan of Austell, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Ellen Wayt of Davenport.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dixie Rounds; her grandson, Dustin Fagan; and her brothers, Walter and Melvin Warner.
