Louise Mae Faris

Louise Mae Faris, 73, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Friday, January 13, 2006 at Trinity at Terrace Park Hospital, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born April 11, 1932 in Albia, Iowa, the daughter of William & Myrtle (McNamer) Hickman. On August 26, 1950, she was united in marriage to Edward L. Faris in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1986.
In recent years, Louise had been employed at the Sears & Roebuck Service Center in Moline, Illinois and in earlier years, was the night hostess at Riefe’s Restaurant. In addition, she was an Avon representative for a number of years.
She loved to care for her flowers & yard and had a special place in her heart for her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Bill Faris of Davenport and his fiancé, Karen Wayt and Bob Faris & his wife, Michelle of Ozawkie, Kansas; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Andrea, James, Richard, Edward & John; and her sister, Wilma Fluegel of Silvis, Illinois.
