Lucille S. Knoche, 84, a resident of Davenport, Iowa and formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin died on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Manor Care Nursing Center in Davenport.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Davenport. Family interment services will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery next week. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation.
She was born December 10, 1923 in Sugar Camp, Wisconsin, the daughter of Stanley & Julia (Maurzekwicz) Kurlinski. In February of 1947, she was united in marriage to Louis L. Knoche in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 31, 1987.
Lucille retired in 1983 as an assembler for the General Electric Company in Milwaukee and in earlier years, worked as an assembler for the Bendix Company of Davenport.
During World War II, Lucille served in the U.S. Navy Waves.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Mike Knoche of Antigo, Wisconsin, Angela Schnoor of Davenport and Theresa Knoche of Milwaukee; her grandchildren, Sheilah, Matthew, Mark & Dylan; her great-grandchildren, Alexa & Zachary; her sister, Regina Maresch in Texas; and her brothers, Richard Kurlinski of Milwaukee and Theodore Kurlinski of Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
In addition to her husband, two sisters and five brothers preceded her in death.
