Lucretia A. "Cretia" Felsing, 37, a resident of Walcott, Iowa died on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at University Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the First Assembly of God Church of Bettendorf where she was a member. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born January 15, 1971 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Tony & Priscilla (Spencer) Rees. On June 10, 1989, she was united in marriage to Jerry D. Felsing in Bettendorf.
Cretia graduated from Bettendorf High School and from Scott Community College in the nursing program. She was employed as a registered nurse in the emergency room of Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport, Iowa.
Among the things she enjoyed were mushroom hunting, scrap booking, motorcycles and baking.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Jerry; her daughters Jerica Felsing of Bettendorf and Toni Felsing of Walcott; her son, David Felsing of Walcott; her mother, Priscilla (Bill) Brown of Bettendorf; her father, Tony Rees of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her sisters, Missy (Mikel) Cary, Tonya Rees & Helena (Roger) Blakney, all of Phoenix, Arizona and Becky (Zac) Bollinger of Silvis, Illinois; her brother, Joshua (Lindsey) Brown of LeClaire, Iowa; her grandmother, Nellie Miller of Bettendorf; her mother-in-law, Sharon Felsing of Bettendorf; her brothers-in-law, Danny (Julie) Felsing of Davenport, Gary Felsing of Maquoketa, Iowa and Shawn (Amy) Felsing of LeClaire; Mathew Brown of St. Paul, Minnesota and several nieces & nephews.
Her father-in-law, David Felsing preceded her in death.
