Lucy Wells, 89, of LeClaire, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, in Davenport, Iowa.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.
Lucy was born August 6, 1925 in Ira, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas & Ethel Moore. She was united in marriage to Louis Nevills and later to Earl R. Wells Jr. on August 9, 1964 in LeClaire. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1985.
Lucy was a homemaker and particularly enjoyed watching children in her home over several years.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Vicky & Scott Streeter of LeClaire; her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Nevills of LeClaire, Jimmie & Nadine Nevills of Davenport, John & Mary Nevills of LeClaire and Dana & Sheila Wells of LeClaire; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Johovah Cantrell, of Lebanon, Missouri.
