Madelyn E. "Maddie" Mess

Madelyn Elaine “Maddie” Mess, beloved 17 month-old daughter of Mark L. & Michele L. (Knisley) Mess of Eldridge, Iowa passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at her home. Her short life was filled with many challenges. She brought her whole community together with her smile and even though her time on earth was brief, the joys she brought to those who loved, cared & prayed for her will never be forgotten.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Faith Lutheran Church of Eldridge. Burial will be in Summitt Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to family. Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge is assisting the family with arrangements.
She was born August 28, 2006 in Davenport.
In addition to her parents, those left to honor her memory include her older sister, Courtney, her brothers, Cameron & Mitchell; her grandparents, Jackie Snyder of Eldridge, Elmer & Maria Mess of Davenport, Iowa; her great-grandparents, Norma Harms of Eldridge and Signa Rock of Grand Mound, Iowa, John & Marjorie Ven Horst of Bettendorf; her uncles & aunts, Chadd & Tiffany Knisley of Davenport, Mark & Teresa Nelson in Michigan, Rick & Tammy Mess of Davenport and Roxanne & Mike Nagel in Missouri; and many other great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Maddie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Royce Snyder; and her grandmother, Sonja Mess.
