Margaret A. Pajunen

          Margaret A. “Margi” Pajunen, 74, of Bettendorf, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.

          Per her wishes, we have accorded cremation rites and there will be no services. To celebrate her life, Margi asked that an act of kindness or expression of caring be offered to a charity of the donor’s choice.

          Margi was born on December 4, 1948 in Davenport, Iowa, daughter of Webster and Margaret (Haas) Pajunen. She graduated from Assumption High School, class of 1967. Margi’s true passion in life was her artwork. She was always creating sharing new works with those around her, whether friend or stranger. She did not limit her talents to a single medium. Instead, Margi would often switch from photography and digital artwork to painting and wood burning and even to paper crafts and sculpting. She was always trying something new to bring more beauty into the world.

          Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Seth Mulvihill (Julie) of Eugene, Oregon and Michael Mulvihill of Des Moines, Iowa; her siblings, Susan Zachmeyer, George Pajunen, John Pajunen, Virginia Treasure, Bill (Melissa) Pajunen, Juliana (Jerry) Nieman, and Steven Pajunen; her dear friend, Barb Soyke; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving and compassionate person who will be missed by many.
