Margaret J. Larson

Margaret Julia Lind Larson, 75, of Bettendorf, died at her residence on Saturday, December 15, 2007.
She was born in Sheldon, Iowa, on October 9, 1932, the daughter of the late Roy and Julia Lind.
On August 20, 1955, she married Roger Franklin Larson. He proceeded her in death in May 1986.
Mrs. Larson worked as a teacher in the Bettendorf school system for several years. She also worked at Younkers and JC Penney's before retiring in 2001.
She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bettendorf, Daughter's of the American Revolution and the Bettendorf Pilot Club.
Surviving are three sons, Michael R. Larson (wife: Dianne) of West Lafayette, Indiana, David J. Larson (wife: Cindy) of Davenport, Iowa, and Andrew F. Larson (wife: Amanda) of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Laurie J. Prossnitz (husband: Philip) of Woodstock, Illinois; one brother, John R. Lind of Oregon; three sisters, Mary L. Meijer (husband: Rudy) of Rocklin, California, Lois M. Jamison of Moab, Utah, and Jane R. Haskell (husband: Donald) of Ankeny, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Larson, Lindsey Larson, Emilie Larson, Christopher Prossnitz, Lindsay Prossnitz, Sarah Larson, Samuel Larson and Kimberly Larson; and one great-grandson, Aidan Chestnut.
A memorial service will be held on January 12 at 11:30 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bettendorf, Iowa, followed by a private graveside ceremony.
