Margaret J. Seibel, 78, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
She was born February 16, 1929 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of William & Helen (Bowling) Long. On September 9, 1950, she was united in marriage to Cecil L. Seibel in Rock Island, Illinois.
Margaret was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mom, grandma & great-grandma. She enjoyed playing bingo, the slot machines at the casino boats, fishing, travel, baseball and was a loyal Cubs fan.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband; her daughter, Barb (Harold) Cutkomp of Davenport; her sons, Larry (Gaylene) Seibel of Roy, Utah, Gary (Kathy) Seibel of Davenport and Bryan (Robin) Seibel of Winter Haven, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Marilyn England of Nebraska City, Nebraska; and her brother, William “Bill” Broughton of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Seibel in 1993; two grandsons; her sisters, Ruth Minick and Delores Hall; her brother, Richard “Dick” Long; and her half-brother, Howard Long.
