Margaret M. Horsey

Margaret M. Horsey, 88, of Davenport, and formerly of Riverdale, Iowa, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at Crest Health Center, Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 13, 2006 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the services on Monday. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park, Davenport. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport.
Margaret was born November 29, 1917, the daughter of George & Ruby Belle (Rysinger) Bickford. She was united in marriage to Max Horsey on July 16, 1955 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1982.
Margaret retired in 1977 after 26 years of service with the former Eagle Signal in Davenport. She was very proud of her job and her accomplishments while she was employed. She was also active in volunteer work with Genesis Medical Center Auxiliary and with the Y.M.C.A. in Davenport.
She was also a member of Moose Lodge #28 of Davenport, and had enjoyed traveling in her earlier years.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Elbert Bickford; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Dorothy Hanna.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Harold Eugene; and her sisters, Georgia & Marinda.
