Margaret W. Patrick, 94, a former resident of Buffalo, Iowa died on Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Davenport.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo, Iowa. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church of Bettendorf where she was a member or to the Good Samaritan Nursing Center.
She was born September 11, 1915 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Charles & Eva (Brewer) Pengra. On November 20, 1931, she was united in marriage to Kenneth V. Patrick in Monticello, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2001.
Margaret was a clerk/typist for the Alcoa Company, retiring on October 1, 1970 after 20 years of faithful service.
Among the things she enjoyed were spending time at the family cabin in Minnesota, crafting of all kinds and reading.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Barbara (Donald) Schwener of Davenport; her sons, Larry (Meri Jo) Patrick of Davenport and Charles (Loretta) Patrick of Brainerd, Minnesota; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and her half-sister, Marion (Bob)Borg of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her half-brother, Bud Pendra.
