Marian C. "Peggy" Dannant

Marian C. “Peggy” Dannatt, 92, a resident of Davenport, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Peggy was born May 15, 1915 in Princeton, Iowa, the daughter of Edward & Pearl (Titcomb) Blocker. On May 28, 1971 she was united in marriage to Gayle E. Dannatt. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1996.
Peggy had been employed as a housecleaner for many years. She was a member of Moose Lodge #28, of Davenport. She had enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, bowling, fishing and spending time with her beloved family.
Those left to honor her memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert & Lois Reed, of Davenport; her daughters, Myrna Dannatt, of Phoenix, Arizona and Valjean Rasche, and her husband, Jim, of Mahomet, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; her sister Irene Pokorny, of Davenport; and her goddaughter, Debra Carter, of McCausland, Iowa.
In addition to her husband, Gayle, she was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters.
