Marian M. Duree

Marian M. Duree, 79, a resident of Eldridge, Iowa died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 1:30 P.M. to the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
Marian was born November 19, 1930 in Tama, Iowa the daughter of George Eberline and Rosella (Womack) Eberline Van Auken. She was united in marriage to Ralph O. Duree on August 31, 1957 in Iowa City, Iowa.
Marian worked for many years at the Buddy L. Toy Company in Moline, Illinois
She enjoyed collecting horse statues, gambling, yard sales and court shows on television.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Ralph, Eldridge, Iowa; her daughters, Diane (Ron) Ashe, Spring Hill, Tennessee and Kathleen (Gary ) Smith, Rock Island, Illinois; her sons Dale (Randa) Burkhead, Muscatine, Iowa and Ralph H. Duree, Eldridge, Iowa; her step-daughters, Cheryl (Ben) Gilgore, and Mary Duree, both of Grand Junction, Colorado; her grandchildren, Rod (Stephanie) Burkhead, Doug (Lara) Burkhead, Christopher Ashe, Julie (Mathew) Kendall, Diane (Eric) Speight, James Hughes and Brandi Klavon; her thirteen great-grandchildren; her sister Marline Eberline, Davenport, Iowa and her brother Marvin (Joretta) Eberline, Park View, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and her step granddaughter.
