Marian S. Blake, 92, of Davenport, Iowa, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Manor Care Health Services, Davenport.
There will be no services or visitation and cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society.
Marian was born July 7, 1914 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph& Mamie (Kissell) Stennett. She was united in marriage to Francis H. Blake on April 21, 1938 in Birmingham, Alabama. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1968.
Marian retired in 1984 after 16 years of service with the J.I. Case Company where she served as administrative assistant to the plant engineer.
She was an avid collector and enjoyed attending antique shows, auctions and flea markets. She also enjoyed nature, especially animals, fishing and swimming. Marian greatly loved the company of her friends and family, she will be very much missed.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sally & Richard Clark of Oakland Township, Michigan, and Polly & Steve Adams, of Davenport; her son, Peter Blake, of Davenport; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband; she was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Charles.
