Marie Ann Foran, 67, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Monday, March 20, 2006 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 24, 2006 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Newcomb Presbyterian Church Elevator Fund.
Marie was born May 11, 1938 in North Hollywood, California, the daughter of George & Charlotte (Morris) Robertson. She was united in marriage to Jerry Foran on July 19, 1969 in North Hollywood, California.
Marie was employed as an assembler for an aircraft manufacturing plant in Burbank, California. She was active with the Veteran of Foreign Wars in California and she was also a Devotionalist with the Golden Age Program of Newcomb Presbyterian Church in Davenport.
She enjoyed reading and writing cards to her friends and relatives. Marie was a wonderful wife, mother and friend, and was very proud of her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include, her beloved husband, Jerry; her daughters and son-in-law, Deanna & Ray Palmer and Denise Spurgeon all of Clinton, Iowa; her sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff Foran of Andalusia, Illinois and Keith & Jana Foran of Davenport; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Janet & Tony Lumkin of Capistrano, California; her brother and sister-in-law, Bruce & Margo Robertson of Birmingham, Alabama; and many nieces & nephews whom she was also very proud of; her sister-in-law, Lilah Hughes of Davenport; and her brother-in-law, Charles Cosner of McCausland, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
