Marie Schulz “Teen” Bohne, 97, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the Bettendorf Healthcare Center where she had resided the past four years.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Contribution in her memory may be made to the Beacon of Hope Hospice.
She was born May 24, 1911 in New Boston, Illinois, the daughter of Udo & Martha (Mariah) Schulz.
During World War II, Marie worked at the former Sears Saddlery making pup tents. She later worked for the Oscar Mayer Company for over 27 years, retiring in 1976.
She dearly enjoyed times spent with her family, loved to dance, was fond of feeding the birds and was a die-hard Cub fan.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Jerry (Judy) Seibel of LeClaire, Iowa; her grandchildren, Joan (Mike) Ferguson of Bettendorf and Marc (Jeanette) Seibel of Camanche, Iowa; her great-granddaughters, Alison & Madeline Seibel; and a very special family friend, Kathy.
Marie was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Wulff; and her brothers, Leroy “Darb” Schulz, Alfred Schulz, Walter “Cub” Schulz and Harry Schulz.
