Marikay “Mickie” Lambert, 70, of Bettendorf, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 13, 2017 at River of Life Church, 4855 Forest Grove Road in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to River of Life Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association
Mickie was born January 12, 1947 in Racine, Wisconsin, a daughter of James R. & Bernadette (Matthews) Dunn.
She was united in marriage to James L. Lambert on May 4, 1978 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2013.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Kelli Raeanne (Brian) Pekios of Davenport, Spring Heather (Tom) Babcock of Davenport, Michael Robert Lambert, Shawn Patrick Lambert, James Leonard (Nancy) Lambert Jr., Mark Alan Lambert and Debra Jean Lambert all of Oregon; twenty-five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; her sisters, Patricia Pulver and Christy Dunn; her brothers, Jim Dunn and Jerry Dunn; and her dog, Max.
In addition to her husband, Jim, Mickie was preceded in death by her parents; her son Geoff E. Lambert on September 5, 1986; and her sister, Raeanne McClure.
