Marilyn Moore

Marilyn J. Moore, 85, a resident of Davenport, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society in Davenport.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Davenport. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on March 6, 1930 in Davenport, Marilyn was the daughter of Havey and Genevieve (Mohr) Serrine. On June 29, 1968 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa, she married Dennis J. Moore.
Marilyn worked as a Registered Nurse at the former St. Luke’s Hospital in Davenport. She enjoyed playing cards, games and spending time outdoors. Marilyn was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Dennis; children, Candace (Rick) Nagel of Eldridge and David Meyers of Texas; step-children, Donna (Jim) Brostrom of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Debbie Chebuhar of Davenport; grandchildren, Amy (Kory) Kuhlman, Leslie Nagel and Valerie Brostrom; great-grandchildren, Reese and Kendall; sisters, Cheryl Peel of Arizona and Pella Fisher of Bettendorf; brothers, James Serrine of Arizona and Jack Serrine of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
