Marilyn C. Raymond, 79, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born May 10, 1929 in Lowden, Iowa, the daughter of Ferdinand & Anna (Ohlrogge) Doermann. In May of 1944, she was united in marriage to Earl T. Raymond in Wheatland, Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1983.
Marilyn was a devoted wife; mom & grandma who loved to play bingo, enjoyed cooking and took great pleasure in helping others wherever help was needed.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Donna Rydzewski of Davenport, Teresa (Rene) Reyes of Moline, Illinois, Judy Lange of Davenport, Cindy Raymond of Davenport, Lloyd Raymond of Davenport, Randy Raymond of Davenport, Larry (Vicky) Raymond of Milan, Illinois, Gilbert Raymond of Davenport, Kevin Raymond of Davenport, Danny Raymond of Davenport and Donnie (Rhonda) Raymond of Orange, California; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special friends, Jim, Doris, Esther, Margaret, Ina & Charles.
In addition to her husband, her daughters, Joyce, Virginia, Linda and Brenda; her sister, Florintine Raymond and her brother, Myron Doermann, preceded Marilyn in death.
