Marjorie P. Prusia, 83, of Davenport and formerly of LeClaire, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Manor Care Utica Ridge in Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 28, 2011 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Princeton, Iowa or to the family.

Marjorie was born July 17, 1928 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Edward & Irene (Ingerson) McGuire. She was united in marriage to Wayne H. Prusia on September 22, 1951 in Preston, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2001.

Marjorie had been employed with Bettendorf High School in earlier years and she had also cleaned houses in the area.

She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church and she also enjoyed embroidery and quilting. She also loved baking, bird watching and was an avid bingo player. She will be missed by her loving family.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter-in-law, Cathleen Prusia of Davenport; her grandchildren, Jamie, Sarah, Casey & Jake; her great-grandchildren, Dakota, Kelsi, Noah & Quinn; her sister, Doris Smith of Eldridge, Iowa; three nieces; one nephew; and her special friend, Pam Trodick of Davenport.

In addition to her husband, Wayne, Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; and her sons, Douglas in 1996 and Gregg in 2010.
