Marjorie Walker-Liebbe

Marjorie Walker-Liebbe, 95, of Davenport, died Monday, February 16, 2009 at Davenport Lutheran Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the church.
Marjorie was born January 16, 1914 in Louisa County, Iowa, the daughter of Harry & Marie (Seiler) Walker. She was united in marriage to Harold Norton Liebbe on April 1, 1934 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1982.
Marjorie had been employed as a Dental Assistant for over 40 years for Dr. David Carstenson in Davenport, retiring at the age of 72. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge. She enjoyed sewing, carving and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Chris & Ray Yoke of Park View, Iowa; her grandchildren, Angela (David) Whitcomb of Eldridge, Deb Yoke of Turlock, California, Caroline (Sohn) Smith of Dixon, Iowa and Eric Yoke of Eldridge; her great-grandchildren, Brian Dichiser, Zach Swarts, Chris Swarts, Quentin Smith, Wyatt Smith, Solomon Yoke, Hope Yoke and Katelyn Whitcomb; and her sister, Dorothy Green of Davenport.
In addition to her husband, Harold, Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Lucille Gipple, Irene Steigers, Isabel Taylor and Charlotte Peters; and her brothers, Arthur, Jake, John and Robert Walker.
