Markar M. "Mike" Mouradian

Markar M. “Mike” Mouradian, 69, of Bettendorf, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Those wishing to attend the service should meet at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, by 10:15 A.M. on Thursday. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Mike was born October 23, 1938 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Mikitar & Mary (Paboudjian) Mouradian. He entered the United States Navy in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1959.
He had been employed as a transit driver for the City of Bettendorf for several years. In earlier years, he had driven for other transit companies. He enjoyed Indy car racing and was an avid fan of Notre Dame football.
Those left to honor his memory include his sisters, Mary Fisher and Sophie Keel, of Bettendorf; his brother, Jack Kasparian, of Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
