Mark L. Corwin

Mark L. Corwin, 54, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport following an extended illness.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. A Corwin Family Memorial Fund has been established at the Valley Bank of Davenport.
He was born October 29, 1951 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of James E. & Betty (Shoemaker) Corwin and was a 1970 graduate of Davenport West High School. On August 6, 1994, he was united in marriage to Cathy R. Porter in Davenport.
Mark was employed in construction material sales and had owned & operated P & M Construction, Inc. until 1995. He later was employed by the DISH Network.
Among the things he enjoyed were playing computer games, reading and wearing a variety of unique hats.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Cathy; his daughters, Katrina Marie Corwin of Rock Island, Illinois and Brea M. Darby of Davenport; his sons, Matthew L. Corwin of Rock Island, Stephen J. Darby and Shawn N. Corwin, both of Davenport; his mother, Betty Corwin of Bettendorf; his step-mother, June Corwin of Davenport; his sister, Janith Bean of San Antonio, Texas; his brother, Phil Corwin of Bettendorf; and his half-brother, Bud Kishline of Clear Lake, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father.
