Marvin H. Rostenbach, 78, of Davenport, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.
Private family services will be held and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Buffalo, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family.
Marvin was born June 6, 1931 in Buffalo, the son of Victor & Grace (Pulse) Rostenbach. On November 14, 1981, he was united in marriage to Geraldine R. Springer in Buffalo. Marvin served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He retired in 1994 from the former Dewey Portland Cement Company in Buffalo where he had been employed as an instrumentation technician. He enjoyed reading, watching birds and other wildlife and, most of all, spending time with his family.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Geraldine; his sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin & Janice Rostenbach of Moline, Illinois and Ross & Lisa Rostenbach of Davenport; his step-son, James Springer of Chicago, Illinois; his grandchildren, Mitchell (Ivy), Brandon & Christopher; his step-grandchildren, Brendan and Dauson; and his great-grandson, Isaac.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Everrett Rostenbach.
