Mary L. Bunn, 86, of Bettendorf, Iowa died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Trinity Bettendorf.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Monday. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Bettendorf VFW Post #9128 or the American Red Cross.
Born on May 5, 1926 in Muscatine, Mary was the daughter of William and Clara (Riechert) Shoultz. She was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Bunn on February 4, 1945 in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2012.
Mary worked for Hanson’s Hardware for many years. She also worked for Republic Electric. She was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star. Mary enjoyed knitting, playing cards, cooking and bowling.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Joyce (Jon) Smith of Bettendorf; her son, Thomas Kenneth Bunn of Mankato, MN; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.
