Mary P. Crane, 90, of Davenport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. She was a resident of the Davenport Lutheran Home.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Those wishing to attend are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. A private family service will be held immediately following the visitation. The service will be live streamed beginning at 1:00 p.m. and may be viewed by visiting Mary’s obituary at www.McGinnis-Chambers.com and clicking on the link provided. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus.
Mary was born on June 14, 1930 in Davenport, the daughter of Gayl and Velma (Hamilton) Noah. In 1948, she was united in marriage to Charles G. Crane in Davenport. Mary was a devoted wife and mother to her eight children. She enjoyed playing Bingo, was an avid Euchre player, and fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. She was an exceptional cook, and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and knitting. Above all, she loved her family and the time she spent with them.
Those left to honor her memory are her children, Thomas (Sandy) Crane, James (April) Crane, Janet (George) Kaszynski, Sharla Wakefield, Nancy (Louis) Vasquez, Mary (Don) Combs, Carolyn Crane; daughter-in-law, Cindy Crane; her sister, Rita Kyle; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1991; her step-mother, Dorothy Noah; her son, Steven Crane; and three great-grandchildren.
