Mary Duncan
December 31, 1919 — August 26, 2016
Mary L. Duncan, 96, of Bettendorf passed away Friday, August 26, 2016, after a brief illness at Genesis Medical Center-East, Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be determined.
Mary was born December 31, 1919 near Sherrard, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Mary(Cooper) Little.
Mary was united in marriage to Harvey R. Duncan on Aug. 2, 1938 for 53 years. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1992.
Mary was a very loving mother and homemaker. Her family was her prime interest. She enjoyed visits and family trips.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Harvey Duncan, Bettendorf and daughters, Denise Duncan, Bettendorf and JoAnn(Ron) Johnson, Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Randy(Melanie) Duncan, Debra Duncan and Michael(Melissa) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Colton Johnson, Lucas and Julia Duncan.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George, Clarence and Robert; and a daughter-in-law, Jean Duncan.
