Mary O. "Kitty" Paaske

Mary O. "Kitty" Paaske, 91, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died Sunday, June 6, 2004 at the Davenport Good Samaritan Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Bettendorf Presbyterian Church where she was a member.
She was born June 12, 1912 in Unionville, Missouri, the daughter of Jackson & Alice (Probasco) Powell. On March 31, 1934, she was united in marriage to Henry W. Paaske in Rockford, Illinois. Henry preceded her in death on April 11, 1983.
She & her husband owned & operated the Argo Telephone Company for many years. In addition, she worked at the former St. Luke's Hospital and at the Quad-City Times.
Mary was an avid bowler for over 50 years and loved to cook for her family & friends.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter & son-in-law, Joyce & Gary Holst of Eldridge, Iowa; her son & daughter-in-law, Jack & Barbara Paaske of Eldridge; her grandchildren & spouses, Shelly & Larry Howell of Milan, Illinois, Brenda & David Whitney of Silvis, Illinois, Connie Holst of St. Louis, Missouri, Kevin & Jessica Holst of Princeton, Iowa and Denise & Rob Gengler of Milan; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by seven sisters and six brothers.
