Matilda M. Grider, 91, of Donahue, Iowa, died on Friday, March 5, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 8, 2010 at Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge, Iowa. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Iselin Union Cemetery in Iselin, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, the American Cancer Society or the Scott County Humane Society.
Matilda was born November 14, 1918 in McIntire, Pennslyvania, the daughter of John & Mary (Setlock) Bielecki. She was united in marriage to Charles H. Grider on November 4, 1950 in San Francisco, California.
She had been employed by Oscar Mayer in Davenport until 1960. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening and baking.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Charles; and her daughter, Marian Grider, of Lakeland, Florida.
Matilda was preceded in death by her parents; and by two sisters.
