Maxine M. Spinsby, 94, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa died Sunday, December 5, 2004 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport, Iowa following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home where an Order of the Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. A memorial fund has been established.
She was born September 7, 1910 in Fort Pierre, South Dakota, the daughter of Henry & Mae (Litttier) Hudson. Her husband, George Spinsby preceded her in death in September of 1990.
Maxine was a member & past Worthy Matron of the Silver Creek Chapter #302 Order of the Eastern Star, a former active member of the LeClaire Civic Club and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of LeClaire.
She enjoyed needlework, embroidery, sewing and the company of her many friends and neighbors.
Those left to honor her memory include her son & daughter-in-law, Kenneth & Marie Spinsby of LeClaire; and her close & special friend, Arline Burkamper of LeClaire.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Darlene Merkel; one sister; and three brothers.
