Michael Paul Davis, 64, a resident of Davenport, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Davenport at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
Born on January 24, 1950 in Iowa City, Michael Paul was the son of Crowlen and Katherine May (Wagner) Davis. On March 14, 1974 in Metropolis, IL, he married Janice Kingsley.
Michael Paul worked in construction as a member of the Laborers’ International Union of North America. He enjoyed camping and cherished his time spent with family and friends.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Janice; son, Michael Shawn Davis of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; two sisters, Martha Chapman of Davenport and Mary (Manuel) Baugher of Blakesburg, Iowa; brother, Richard Davis of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Thomas and Charles Davis and one sister, Dorothy Edwards; one brother-in-law, Damon Kingsley.
Michael Paul will be greatly missed by his wife, son and many family and friends.
