Michael Anthony Furgerson, 24, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at his home.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born in Davenport on June 18, 1987, the son of Francis F. & Vivian E. (Furgerson) Sanders and was a 2006 graduate of Davenport North High School.
Although faced with many difficulties & challenges during his brief life, he remained a happy and loving person. Mike loved to go camping with his family, enjoyed the out-of-doors and loved listening to music, mostly classical and country.
Those left to honor his memory include his father & step-mother, Francis & Deana Sanders of Davenport; his mother, Vivian E. Furgerson of Muscatine, Iowa; his sisters, Maggie Furgerson of Iowa City, Iowa, Joyln Sanders of Chicago, Illinois and Autumn Furgerson of Iowa City; his brothers, Jaden Sanders and Justin Fulton, both of Davenport; his grandparents, Francis & Elizabeth Sanders Sr., Margaret Holt and Theresa Henricksen, all of Davenport; along with many aunts, uncles & cousins.
