Michael D. Kumley, 43, of Bettendorf, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services on Thursday. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.
Born on August 22, 1969 in Tampa, FL, Michael was the son of Joe W. and Suzie (Pella) Kumley.
Michael was a meat cutter at Hy-Vee for 12 years. He was a volunteer Firefighter for the City of Bettendorf. Michael enjoyed sports, especially golf, softball and bowling. He loved trivia and was a music and movie buff.
Those left to honor his memory include his fiancé, Lisa Mangels of Bettendorf; his mother, Suzie Miller of Tampa, FL; two brothers, William (April) Kumley of Virginia Beach, VA and Joe Kumley of Florida; maternal grandmother, Emma Pell of Tampa, FL; aunts, Ann and Marsha Pella of Florida; and his nephew and niece, Andrew and Victoria.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
