Michael E. Yaudas, 69, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22nd at Park View Lutheran Church, Park View, Iowa. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private family burial will be at Overman Cemetery, Atalissa, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mike was born September 11, 1954 in Muncie, Indiana, to Donald “Gene” and Shirley (Gregory) Yaudas. In 1972, he graduated from Moline High School. On July 21, 1979, he married Kathy Weaver in Davenport. Mike worked as a journeyman machinist at the Rock Island Arsenal for 30 years prior to his retirement in 2006. He then worked at various places including, Riverbend, WHBF Channel 4 news, Grandhaven Retirement Community, Napa Auto Parts, and most recently as a delivery driver for Hot Shots nuclear medications. Mike was a member of Park View Lutheran Church, where he served in music ministry and as an Elder. He was a self-taught guitarist, enjoyed fishing and camping, and could fix anything and everything. Mike was also an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Chicago Bears fan.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Kathy Yaudas; children, Matt (Lisa) Shaw, Dan Yaudas, Lisha (Terry Collins) Burch, and Luke (Kori) Yaudas; eight grandchildren, Eli, Darian, Madison, Cora, Alex, Shaun, Madden, and Emily; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Henry; sister, Nancy (David) Beaderstadt; mother-in-law, Sharon (Curt) Evans; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Pankratius; his faithful canine companions, Lacy and Cooper; and numerous nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Herb (Eunice) Weaver; and his beloved golden retriever, Tanner.
