Michael M. Gimm

Michael M. Gimm, 56, a resident of Bangkok, Thailand and formerly of LeClaire, Iowa died Wednesday, June 1, 2005 in Thailand.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend his service should meet at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa by 9:30 A.M. Wednesday.
Michael was born August 7, 1948 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of George J. & Ruth L. (Roller) Gimm.
He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on April 13, 1967 and was honorably discharged as a Master Sergeant on November 1, 1988 after a 21-year military career. He served in Viet Nam during the war and was stationed at man other military posts during his enlistment.
Those left to honor his memory include his son & daughter-in-law, Chris & Kathy Gimm of Virginia Beach, Virginia where Chris is serving in the U.S. Navy; his grandson, Michael; his sisters & brothers-in-law, Ruth & Joe Goin of Blue Grass, Iowa and Nancy & Dan Golden of Goodland, Kansas; and his brothers & sisters-in-law, George & Ann Gimm, Patrick & Marti Gimm, Bill & Kathy Gimm, all of LeClaire and Tom & Renata Gimm of Mascoutah, Illinois.
Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Bob; and by his parents.
