Mildred L. Anderson

Mildred L. Anderson, 86, a resident of the Davenport Lutheran Home passed away on Friday, May 25, 2007 at the home.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport where she was a member. Private family interment services will be held at the Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Davenport Lutheran Home. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
She was born November 12, 1920 in Davenport, the daughter of Frank & Lydia (Westphal) Gamber and was a 1939 graduate of Davenport High School. On May 7, 1949, she was united in marriage to Sherwood H. Anderson in Davenport.
Mildred was employed as a bookkeeper at the former Petersen Harned-Von Maur Department Store in Davenport, retiring in 1962.
She & her husband enjoyed walking together and playing cards.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Sherwood; her grandchildren, Jenelle Anderson of Galveston, Texas and Joshua Anderson of Corpus Christi, Texas; her sister & brother-in-law, Shirley & Bob Schneider of Davenport; and several nieces & nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her sons, Scott Anderson in 1997 and Mark Anderson in 2001.
