Miranda Lyn Coakley, 29 and her unborn son, Jerrick Michael died unexpectedly of natural causes on Wednesday at their home in Bettendorf.
Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in the chapel at Oakdale Memorial Gardens in Davenport. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the family.
Miranda was born November 24, 1982 in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Mark & Rhonda (Ruschke) Coakley and was a graduate of United Township High School in East Moline, Illinois.
Even though her illness presented difficult challenges for Miranda during her brief life, she remained a happy, upbeat person who loved life. She enjoyed playing softball, took great comfort with the company of her beloved dogs and had a soft place in heart for children.
Those left to honor her memory include her mother, Rhonda Coakley of Davenport; her father & step-mother, Mark & Tabatha Coakley of Davenport; her sisters, Ericka (Phillip) Pridemore of Davenport, Melissa (Matthew) Christensen of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Taylor Coakley of Davenport; her brother, Brayz Coakley of Davneport; her nieces & nephews, Brody, Thomas, Kayana, Madeline & Lillian; her grandfather, Alfred Ruschke of Batesville, Arkansas; her step-sisters, Kyia Bailey of Davenport and Lacey Bailey of Davenport; her step-brother, Danial Porter of Davenport; and her very special friend, Jesse & his son, Thomas.
