Mitsie M. Anderson

Mitsie M. Anderson, 49, a resident of Davenport, Iowa entered into her heavenly home on Thursday, December 23, 2004.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the Quad-Cities Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.
She was born in Iowa City, Iowa on April 25, 1955 to Lora Carter.
Mitsie married Mike Anderson on February 2, 1974 in Texas. Together, Mitsie & Mike had two beautiful daughters.
She was a certified nursing assistant and worked at many area nursing homes, last working at the Davenport Lutheran Home. She retired in 2002.
Mitsie truly enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She was a very loving, caring & wonderful person and will be missed by all of those who knew & loved her.
Mitsie enjoyed spending time with her daughters, watching western movies and court TV. She also loved spending time with her cat, “Haley” and her soul mate, Greg.
Her greatest passion in life was being a grandma to her little grandson, Adrien Michael Peterson. Mitsie loved going to California to see her grandson and visiting the ocean & mountains.
Mitsie is survived by her daughters, Andrea Anderson of Davenport and Amanda (Mrs. Allan) Peterson of Carmichael, California; her grandson, Adrien Peterson of Carmichael; her sister, Polly Carter of LeClaire, Iowa; her special brother, Andrew Carter of Davenport; her soul mate, Greg Frickel of Bettendorf; her “adopted” son, Derek “DJ” Jones of Davenport; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lora Housenga on December 14, 2001.
