Mona K. Miletich, 80, of Bettendorf, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
Mona was born December 3, 1934 on the family farm in Bussey, Iowa. She was the daughter of Floyd & Lucy (Cobbs) Gushwa. She was a graduate of Albia High School and of the University of Iowa College of Nursing. Mona had served as Supervisor and then Director of Nursing at the former Moline Public Hospital in Moline, Illinois. Following her retirement, she was a nurse for CADS. Mona worked tirelessly to help others and will be remembered for putting others’ needs ahead of her own.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Jane Miletich; her sons, John Miletich and his fiancé, Wendy Frakes and Pat Miletich and his wife, Lyne, all of Bettendorf; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Mona was preceded in death by her parents; and her sons, Bill in 1992 and Tom in 1996.
