Myrna Tebben-Cooper

Myrna A. Tebben-Cooper, 72, of Eldridge, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 10, 2012 at Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society or the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Myrna was born January 12, 1940 in Odebolt, Iowa, the daughter of Henry & Tillie (Lorenzen) Tebben.  She was united in marriage to Gerald T. Cooper in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1989.

Myrna was a graduate of Wall Lake High School and had attended the College of DuPage, Scott Community College and St. Ambrose University.  She had been employed over the years for Caterpillar and the Army Corps of Engineers.  She retired from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service in Rock Island.

Myrna was an avid collector of antiques and loved the company of her cats.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Gerald (Gerry); her daughter and son-in-law, Tracey & Jorge Flores of Andover, Kansas; her son, Steve Kluver of Manning, Iowa; her grandchildren, Ashlie, Levi, Allisa & Lucas Kluver, Jacob Larman, and Amelia, Michael and Virginia Flores; four great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Judy & Bill Ogren of Odebolt; and her brother and sister-in-law, Harlen and Peggy Tebben.

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Marlis Tebben-Olsen.
