Nancy J. Connolly, 82, of Eldridge, passed away Saturday July 27, 2013 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.
A private family memorial service will take place at Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society in her remembrance.
Nancy was born March 11, 1931 in Sterling, Illinois, the daughter of Harold and Dorothy (Sheldon) Sullivan. March 11, 1949 she married Clyde Connolly in Clinton, Iowa. He preceded her in death January 18, 2009. Nancy worked in retail at Von Maur in Davenport and Dillards in Lakewood, CO. She enjoyed cooking, was an avid reader, and spending time with her dog Rascal. Nancy also loved to travel and had been to Italy, Ireland, Japan as well as traveling throughout the United States.
Nancy will be remembered by her two sons Bruce (Janice) Connolly, Chanhassen, MN and Craig (Marie) Connolly, Donahue, IA; daughter Julie Connolly and her significant other Don Frazier, Morrison, CO; nine grandchildren: Kathleen (Steven Heimmermann), Erin (Justin Sterwald), Megan, John, Blake (Vered), Lauren, Jennifer, Brendan, and Shane (Lyndsey); five great grandchildren: Mason, Harper, Carter, Preston, and Maren; and three brothers: George (Nancy) Sullivan, Rock Falls, Richard (Sandra) Sullivan, Arvada, CO, and Steve (Norma) Sullivan, Wheatridge, CO.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde, parents, two sisters Jacqueline and Kay, and two brother-in-laws Dwayne and Gary.
