Nancy Cosner

Nancy Ann Cosner, 80, a resident of McCausland, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at McCausland United Methodist Church in McCausland. Burial will be at McCausland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3rd at Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge. Memorials may be made to McCausland United Methodist Church.
Nancy was born on December 30, 1936 in Anamosa, Iowa, the daughter of Howard W. and Freda (Rohwedder) Jamison. On October 1, 1960 in Wyoming, Iowa, she married Charles “Mick” Cosner.
Nancy worked as a case worker for CASI. She enjoyed square dancing, round dancing, quilting and camping. Nancy and Mick enjoyed traveling, visiting all 50 states, Canada and Mexico. They enjoyed wintering in Harlingen, Texas for 23 years.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Charles “Mick” Cosner; sons and their wives, Tim and Sheryl Cosner of McCausland and Mark and Amy Cosner of Chillicothe, Illinois; eight grandchildren and two step grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; a brother, John (Karmen) Jamison of Wyoming, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Cosner; and a sister, Marjorie Ardelean.
