Nancy Drechsler

Nancy A. Drechsler, 81, formerly of Long Grove, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Manor Care Health Services, Utica Ridge in Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at McCausland Cemetery in McCausland. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church. Chambers Funeral Home of Eldridge is assisting the family with arrangements.
Nancy was born June 29, 1936 in Davenport, a daughter of Oscar & Gladys (Cook) Twigg. She was united in marriage to Kenneth D. Drechsler on February 5, 1955 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2002.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Nancy was a homemaker. She had worked earlier for the DeWitt Observer and the Quad-City Times.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Stacy Brown of Texas and Susan (Jon) Schaecher of Milan, Illinois; her son Scott (Rhonda) Drechsler of Eldridge; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Flenker of McCausland.
In addition to her husband, Ken, Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Ruth Blanche.
