Nancy Fusselman

Nancy J. Fusselman, 59, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport, Iowa following a brief illness.

Private family graveside services will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Burn Center of Galveston, Texas or the Scott County Humane Society.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on August 12, 1963, the daughter of Larry and Jane Marie (Young) Ferguson and was a 1981 graduate of Pleasant Valley High School.

On April 9, 1988, Nancy was united in marriage to Jerry L. Fusselman in Davenport, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on May 18, 2013.

Nancy was the manager of Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard on Central Avenue in Bettendorf for 25 years.

She was an avid fan of the “Walking Dead” TV series and enjoyed being terrified by horror movies of all types.  In her spare time, she loved working in her garden, caring for her beautiful yard, crocheting and reading.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, Cameron; her sister, Susan Groene of Blue Grass, Iowa; her brothers, Matthew Ferguson of Cary, North Carolina and Patrick (Angie) Ferguson of Johnston, Iowa; her father & stepmother, Larry and Carolyn Ferguson of Bettendorf; her nieces, Michelle, Elizbeth and Leah; and her nephews, Tony, Michael, Owen and Alexander.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Ferguson; and her mother, Jane Ferguson.
