Nancy Lou Klepsteen, 80, of Eldridge, Iowa, died Thursday, October 15, 2015 at her home.
A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge. Memorials may be made to the family or your favorite charity.
Nancy was born October 22, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Fred & Thelma Brod. She was united in marriage to Guy W. Klepsteen on July 7, 1962 in Skokie, Illinois. Nancy was retired from the Davenport School District. She enjoyed the time spent with her family, fishing and RV camping. She also enjoyed playing cards, attending the casinos, bingo and computer games. Nancy was also an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Chicago Bears fan.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Guy; her daughters, Luanne & Gary Hoxie of Park View, Iowa and Alison Holtz of Eldridge; her sons, Randy (Karen) Klepsteen of Moline, Illinois and Glenn (Donette) Klepsteen of Fort Dodge, Iowa; her grandchildren, Rick (Amanda) Hoxie, Amy (Melissa) Hoxie, Katie Holtz, Hayley (Eric) Zertuche, Hannah (Chris) Glaub, Hilary Klepsteen, Glenn Klepsteen Jr., Matt (Amber) Klepsteen, Jaffa (Austin) Black, Lacie Klepsteen, Jaden Henry and Brenton (Jessica) Klepsteen; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Barb and Bob Turpin; and her grandchildren, Jeff, Brad, Andrew and Elizabeth Hoxie.
