Nellie May (Baldwin) Miller, 90, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away, Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at her home.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 17, 2015 at First Assembly of God Church in Bettendorf. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Friday. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18th at Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Assembly of God Building Fund. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf is assisting the family.
Born on March 23, 1925 in Dunreath, Iowa, Nellie was the daughter of Peter T. and Beulah (Sanders) Clark. She married Darrell Spencer, they later divorced. She then married Gene Baldwin, who preceded her in death. Nellie then married Bud Miller, he preceded her in death.
Nellie was a homemaker for most of her life, raising her seven children. While living in Seymour, she owned and operated the Dew Drop Inn. Nellie enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling and watching Jimmy Swaggart. She was full of hospitality, enjoying the company of her friends and family.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Linda (Marlin) Olson of Pleasantville, Iowa, Carolyn (Ralph) Busetto of Bettendorf, Priscilla Brown of Bettendorf and Grace (David) Tuttle of Princeton, Iowa; sons, Darrell (Peg) Spencer, Jr. of LeClaire and Randy Spencer of Bettendorf; 117 grandchildren; brother, Alvis (Annie) Clark of Oregon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter, Judy Coe; two grandchildren, Cretia and Buddy; one great-grandson, Joshua; and son-in-law, Bill Brown.
