Neoma M. Watts, 67, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa, died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at her son’s home in rural Clinton County, Iowa.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire, Iowa.
Neoma May Bower was born September 14, 1941 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Lester and Helen (Hootman) Bower. She graduated from Cantril High School in 1959. Neoma married John L. Watts Sr. on October 16, 1960 in Mt. Sterling, Iowa. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1987.
Neoma enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. Her hobbies were scrapbooking, collecting Fenton Glass, coin collecting and going to flea markets.
Surviving her are her children, John (Nancy) Watts of Harlan, Iowa, Alan (Carla) Watts of rural Grand Mound, Iowa, Donald (Krista) Watts of Moline, Illinois; five grandchildren; one step-grandson; three great-grandchildren; her sisters, Norma (John) Amacher of Blanchardville, Wisconsin and Carol (Jack) Heller of New Glarus, Wisconsin and her special friend, Ron Voss of LeClaire, Iowa.
Along with her husband, John she was preceded in death by her parents.
