Neva Jean Harris

Neva Jean Harris, 71, of Bettendorf, died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 5, 2005 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M., Friday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family.
Neva was born October 9, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Harley M. & Alda V. (Clark) Webb. She was a graduate of Davenport Central High School. Neva was united in marriage to William T. Harris, Jr. on May 11, 1957 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1972.
Neva was employed as a bookkeeper at the former A.M.I. Pipe Supply Company in Davenport, retiring in 1993.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Valerie Jean Bollman and her husband, Richard, St. Petersburg, Florida, Kathleen JoAnn Kelsey, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Rochelle Christine Smith and her husband, Adam, Bettendorf; her step-sons, Michael Lee Harris and Randy Gene Harris, both of Wilton, Iowa; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Dorothy Elder, Davenport, and Ethel Williams, Bloomfield, Iowa.
In addition to her husband, Neva was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Harley.
