Nicholas R. “Nick” Eaton, 20, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Sunday, April 29, 2007 in a traffic accident in Davenport.
Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa where a prayer service will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. A second visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City, Iowa where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Sioux City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
He was born December 17, 1986 in Vermillion, South Dakota, the son of Paul R. and Tina L. (Welch) Eaton.
Nick was a 2005 graduate of Bettendorf High School where he was a member of the varsity wrestling team.
He worked at various jobs in the Quad-Cities, most recently at Happy Joe’s Restaurant in Davenport.
Fishing was one of Nick’s favorite things to do. He also enjoyed ATV’s, was an avid Steamwheeler’s fan and loved music, especially Metallica.
Those left to honor his memory include his son, Riley Robert Eugene Ames of Davenport; his mother & step-father, Tina & Rob Deming of Sioux City; his father, Paul Eaton of Norwich, New York; his sisters, Kelli Deming of Phoenix, Arizona, Sarah Deming and Emily Deming, both of Sioux City; his brothers, Damon Deming and Ryan Deming, both of Sioux City; his beloved girlfriend, Elizabeth Shee of Davenport; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends.
Nick was preceded in death by his uncle, Steve Deming.
