Noreen J. (Granbois) Werthmann, 84, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home, with a rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m.  Private committal services will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Davenport.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church in Davenport where she was a member.

Noreen was born on January 19, 1931 in Davenport, the daughter of Henry F. & Velma J. (Wilson) Hadley.  She was united in marriage to Robert Granbois, with whom she had five sons.  He preceded her in death in 1974.  She was later united in marriage to Bernard A. “Bernie” Werthmann on December 14, 1974 in Bettendorf.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Noreen enjoyed reading, and crossword and picture puzzles.  She will be remembered as always cheerful with a warm smile for everyone.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Bernie; her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard & Rose Granbois of Las Vegas, Nevada, Roger & Linda Granbois of Jonesborough, Tennessee, Jeffrey & Judith Granbois of Davenport, Bruce & Linda Granbois of Springdale, Arkansas and Mark & Kathleen Granbois of East Moline, Illinois; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; seven step-children; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her husband, Robert, Noreen was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Gene “Bud” Hadley.
